Around 500km of bike trails in the South Tyrol/Trentino region invite you to truly athletic biking!
Start from the hotel and bike disused rail lines and explore the region along the German/Italian language border in South Tyrol/Trentino. The Etschtal Biking Trail offers charming tours. Busses and railways in South Tyrol are arranged to accommodate bike transport so you can plan your return trip using public transportation.
Beloved among mountain bikers: The rail line of the former Fleimstal railway. The “entrance” to this stretch is right next to your holiday site of Montan. Starting from here you can climb the Italian San Lugano Pass in just a few kilometres on the trail. Height of pass: 1,097 m.
Trudner Horn Nature Park is a Paradise for bikers and mountain bikers. A dense network of trails offers the widest variety of difficulty level. Popular destinations in the park are Cisloner Alm and the snack hut at Hornalm, both with typical South Tyrolian alpine cuisine. The Nature Park House in Truden presents the world of animals, plants and the geology of the Nature Park in models and multi-visual shows.
Use the milestones along the Etsch biking trail! This tour takes you by and large through the easy, level plain. The trail’s total length takes you from the headwaters of the Etsch near Reschen Pass along the river through Trient and to Verona. From your holiday site at Montan to Bolzano, for example, it’s only around 22 km.
